Bug Evolution Traits: XP, Stamina & Combat Tradeoffs

A trait changes the way your current run handles. Its drawback can matter as much as its headline bonus.

Gameplay mechanics

§Read the three offered cards#

The reviewed level-10 menu offers Marathon, Hardened and Glass Fangs under movement, defensive and offensive headings. Marathon shows a stamina bonus. Hardened reduces damage taken with a movement penalty. Glass Fangs increases bite damage while reducing maximum health.

The menu is a choice between offered cards. It does not prove that every trait can be selected at every level. Later menus show different names and values, so check the current offer each time.

§Compare a later choice by your immediate problem#

A level-40 Grasshopper recording offers Sprinter, Iron Gut and Glass Fangs. The visible Sprinter card shows movement speed +15% and bite speed -6%. Iron Gut shows healing +15% and bite damage -6%. Glass Fangs shows bite damage +15% and maximum health -8%. These values belong to that recorded build.

If you need to leave a chase, a movement option fits that problem but can reduce your ability to trade attacks. If you are already taking too much damage, a health penalty can make an aggressive choice costly. Read your current health and likely opponent before confirming.

§When an XP recommendation makes sense#

Radex Tips recommends XP gain early for unlocking evolutions. Treat that as a creator recommendation, supported by the growth goal, rather than a universal best build. It helps most when you are surviving long enough to collect food repeatedly.

If repeated deaths erase the benefit of faster leveling, first change your route and escape choices. An XP perk cannot remove the risk of a stronger player. The video also stresses stamina because larger bugs can chase you.

§Avoid planning around an unverified reset#

We have not verified a trait respec method, reset price or a complete stacking formula. Make a choice on the assumption that you will use it for the current run until the game shows otherwise.

Keep a screenshot if a trait behaves differently from its text. Compare the same form and situation before inferring that a stat has changed. A level increase, new form or active bonus can change the result at the same time.
